Time flies when you’re having fun.
Today marks our one year anniversary from ilumi swimming with the Sharks!
On April 17th, 2014, ilumi aired on ABC's Shark Tank, season 5 episode 25 along with Zoobean, Intelli-Stopper, and FortMagic.
Although it seemed as though we were about to be eaten alive, Mark Cuban took the plunge and invested a whopping $350k for a 25% stake in ilumi. Cuban's words, "“There’s no one who’s not going to take my call," sealed the deal and the ilumi Nation got a whole lot brighter.
Since then, we launched and have now shipped tens of thousands of ilumi Smartbulbs across the world, received 5 issued patents, have grown our team to over 10 employees, and continue to work hard every day to help people get more out of their lighting.
If you’re wondering what it’s been like having Mark Cuban as an investor, the answer is undoubtedly GREAT! We've learned a lot from our Shark, and the whole team at Mark Cuban Companies. Yes, we’ve been to some Mavs games, but most importantly they help in every way they can to make sure that ilumi is successful.

We’ve heard some great stories from the ilumi nation over the past year, from teaching your children colors, to bringing some familiar lighting to your hotel when your house flooded.
