Earth Hour is a worldwide event to turn off lights for one hour to raise awareness about climate change. The 9th annual Earth Hour event is this Saturday, March 28th at 8:30 PM (your local time). Earth Hour has evolved as a movement to spread environmental awareness - more than 7000 cities in a coordinated effort are encouraging people to turn off their lights on for one hour, but also to go beyond turning out their lights by hosting campaigns to enact meaningful environmental changes through crowdfunding on www.earthhour.org.
Earth Hour has gained worldwide traction, including support from United Nations. Visit the Earth Hour Tracker to find events in your local area!

While ilumi LED Smartbulbs are environmentally friendly because they use less energy to operate, we'd like to ask our ilumi Nation to join the Earth Hour movement, and turn off their ilumi LED Smartbulbs (and other lights) for one hour this Saturday at 8:30 PM. Spread the word to your friends and family, using #EarthHour and #YourPower on Facebook and Twitter to get involved in the conversation for changing climate change. Post your pictures and videos to the ilumi Facebook page and mention us on Twitter and Instagram using @ilumisolutions. We want to know how you celebrate Earth Hour!
The Earth Hour website also includes helpful tips for reducing your company's energy consumption. For example, turning off computers, microwaves and other electronics at the end of every day could save about 5% off your electric bill. Check out the official video for how you can get started changing climate change!
