There are many Smartbulbs out on the market today, but one major complaint we've heard is that with most other bulbs - you can't turn off your light switch without losing all your zone and color settings! Yikes, that can be super frustrating and it makes you wonder: what is the point of a "smart" light bulb, if you can't use your own darn light switch?!
With ilumi, the World's Smartest Light Bulb, we love the light switch. Frankly, we never understood why our competitors “smart” bulbs can work with a dumb switch. And as Gearbrain so aptly points out, "you won't know that someone else in the house has physically turned the smart light off until you try to do something smart with it.”
ilumi gives the freedom to choose how you want to use your light the way you want to. It remembers your color choices and behaves just like any other light. However - there are some nice benefits when you leave your light switch powered "on":
- You can control your lights anywhere in the house right from your phone or tablet. For example, you can turn off your hall and patio lights after you're already tucked in for the night.
- Schedule your lights to turn off/on and change colors whenever you want, making it easier to get those kids out of bed in the morning.
- Since it only uses less than a watt of power in standby mode, it probably will cost you less than the change in your couch.
Stay tuned for new ways to use your ilumi. We're launching a new mobile app with a completely redesigned experience and in coming months, you will see integrations with IFTTT, Nest, Amazon Echo, Apple Watch and Android Smartwear.

Love my Ilumi! This is really the only update I’ve seen mentioning integration with Amazon Echo, and it’s been 6 months. Any update on where you are with integration with Amazon Echo? Thanks!

Love that there is increased integration coming. Don’t forget Google Home. I would love to be able to use voice commands to control my lights. Plus, it would be cool to have some sort of Netflix and other movie integration. Imagine if the lights dimmed and changed colors in response to movie scenes.

Hello. As a photographer, I use your lights in my studio sessions to add color to my scenes. I would love to see support for photography and video settings. Or maybe you guys could come out with smart lights for photography and video. Thanks for making such an awesome product.
